Student Appeal Procedure
- June’s Beauty School only considers appeals where the student submits the
Student Appeal Form to the General Office. JBS may arrange for an interview
with the student if more information is required to make a decision.
- The School shall allow students to submit a maximum of one appeal for a relook at their overall results.
- The School may take mitigating circumstances such as the following into account:
- Ill-health – physical or mental
- Severe financial hardship i.e. over and above that experienced by all students
- Emotional/personal difficulties – e.g. bereavement
- Disabled Students i.e. where the student’s disability
comes to light for the first time at assessment
- Unavoidable absence from domicile - e.g. eviction
- Other serious circumstances which could not be foreseen by the student
- Ill-health – physical or mental
- Examples in these regulations are not intended to be definitive or exhaustive.
- Students will be notified of the deadlines by which applications
for Student Appeal must be made.
- Mitigating circumstances submitted after the cut off date will receive consideration
only if the applicant was unable to submit by an earlier date and appropriate evidence
is supplied to support the statement of inability to submit. Late submissions,
which do not provide sufficient evidence, will be dismissed.
Decisions made by the Examination Board regarding student appeals are final.
